Founder

Dr. Joshua Engle is a graduate of the USC Keck School of Medicine. He completed his internship training at the Loyola MacNeal Hospital in Chicago and his post-doctorate research at the Beth Isreal Deaconess Medical Center (a Harvard hospital). Dr. Joshua Engle has a passion for combining medical technology with wellness to promote patient health. Early in his career, Dr. Engle took an interest in wellness. Before medical school, Dr. Engle started a non-profit program that conducted over 3,000 free blood pressure checks at schools in low-income areas. When in medical school, Dr. Engle volunteered with the Carley Foundation’s Keto Kitchen, a program to help patients with epilepsy reduce their number of seizures through ketogenic cooking. Also when in medical school, he was one of the eight medical students selected for the USC Health, Technology, and Engineering (HTE) program. The HTE program pairs medical students with engineering students to solve challenges in healthcare. Dr. Engle continued with his passion for medical technology through his post-doctorate research. He was part of a team of physicians and scientists investigating how neurological imaging can be better applied to detect various neurological diseases. 

At ExciteMD, in addition to patient care, Dr. Engle sets the standards for the medical technology incorporated into ExciteMD’s patient care. Dr. Engle ensures all medical technology used by ExciteMD has undergone rigorous clinical validation.
